Noted for its friendliness and warm hospitality, Touchwood Cottages are situated in the heart of Stanley and is the perfect place to relax and unwind.

All three cottages are tastefully decorated in the colonial style and fully self contained. They are well appointed, full of character and charm and extremely comfortable.

Cafe

Our fully licensed cafe offers Genovese quality coffee and a seasonal cafe menu, showcasing a variety of food types and styles, including local scallops, octopus and lots of Tassie’s fabulous fresh foods and produce.  We also offer Vegetarian and Gluten Free options.

The seasonally changing menu incorporates specialty items as well as regular favourite dishes.
We also offer our own variety of gourmet house baked cakes.

Gallery

We stock some of the finest Tasmanian crafts available. Tasmanian timber products and local pottery feature in the welcome environment. Many of the items are exclusive to our gallery or are only available in Tasmania.

Touchwood also stocks blown glass and pewter crafts along with other popular items such as leather crafts, pottery and ceramics, jewellery and those hard to find quality gifts.

Recent 3 night stay in this peaceful cottage.

Our hosts, Chris and Greta made us very welcome. Cottage is very comfortable with quality bed and lounge chairs. Quite roomy for a studio with big bathroom and kitchen facilities. On-site restaurant with beautiful water views was a bonus.

Attention to detail

We stayed for two nights in ‘The Pines’. Just beautiful. Views, charm, comfort. Chris and Gretta were terrific hosts – nothing was too much trouble. Cottage, cafe and gallery all lovely. If you appreciate attention to detail, You can’t go past Touchwood Cottages.

Wonderful Stay

The host of Touchwood are a delight. Nothing is too much trouble, Greta kept surprising us with her home made Scones (to die for) I kid you not the are the best I’ve ever had and my waistline will show I’ve had a few. The Cottage is perfect both size and comfort and the onsite Cafe and gift shop are lovely.
